R2 - REACH Registrations

Global. Current. Essential.

Under REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), all companies manufacturing or importing chemical substances into the European Union in quantities of greater than one ton per year must register these substances with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Registration is based on the "one substance, one registration" principle. This means that manufacturers and importers of the same substance have the obligation to submit their registration jointly.

R2 provides integrated access to the Official ECHA Registrations Database using our EXPERTIndex. The database contains key information submitted by companies during the registration process such as:
  • CAS number and other identifiers
  • Composition
  • Classification and labelling
  • Physical/chemical properties
  • Toxicological properties
  • Eco-toxicological properties
Last updated July 19, 2012, the database now contains 7,633 unique substances. In general, more information is available for chemicals which are manufactured or imported in large amounts than for those in lower amounts. The number of substances in the collection will grow over time as deadlines approach and companies submit more registration dossiers.
